Jeremy and I get so excited when the weather gets cooler and we can make this chili. Every time we’ve made this, we make it together. It’s so fun. And so YUM. He was so sad that this time I had to make it without him... but he still got to eat it with me, so that’s the important part. Lol. Let’s make Dead Guy chili together...
This chili gets it’s name from the ale we put in it. Dead Guy Ale. So, you’ll need one of those. You’ll also need : 2 T olive oil, 2 t salt, 1 t pepper, 1lb ground beef, 1lb Italian sausage, 1 red onion, 3 bell peppers- different colors, 1 jalapeño, 4 cloves of garlic, 6oz tomato paste, 1/4 c chili powder, 1 T cumin, 1 T oregano, 2 t paprika, 1/4 t cinnamon, 1/4 t red pepper flakes, 28oz crushed tomatoes, 14 oz fire roasted tomatoes, 15oz each- black beans, kidney beans and pinto beans and lastly 1/4 cup maple syrup.
If you’re a chili purist, you can forego the beans and double the meat instead. Idc.
