Dirty Chai Chewy Sugar Cookies

These are dope. This is my favorite drink (chai tea latte with espresso) in cookie form. Little bit of coffee. Little bit of spice. A lot of yum. So soft, so chewy. YUM yum YUM. Okay, let's make Dirty Chai cookies together.

Alright, in a bowl put 2 3/4 cups flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp espresso powder, 3/4 tsp cardamom, 3/4 tsp cinnamon, 3/4 tsp cloves, 3/4 tsp ginger, 1/4 tsp pepper.
​Whisk it all together

In a medium bowl mix together a cup of room temperature butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar on medium speed.

add in 1 egg and 1 tsp vanilla. mix again

Mix in the dry ingredients slowly and fully.

Scoop out rounded Tbsp sized scoops onto a lined cookie sheet.

Bake 12 at a time for 9 minutes. (you can make them twice as big but bake for 12 minutes)

Let them cool on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes.
